Terms and Condition
- Qupac (hereinafter called the carrier) does not accept the declaration made by the consignor regarding the nature, contents, condition, and value of goods which are brought in for booking/dispatch.
- ALL CONSIGNMENTS ACCEPTED FOR TRANSPORTING BY THE CARRIER ARE CARRIED ENTIRELY AT OWNER'S RISK.
- The company always carries the goods at "OWNER'S RISK" unless otherwise specifically mentioned in the LR as "Carrier's Risk".
- The Consignor is responsible for any claims WHATSOEVER arising out of false declarations made by the consignor.
- The carrier is not responsible for any loss, damage, leakage, and destruction of the goods while in the custody of the carrier.
- In view of the Special Service i.e., Daily Service, provided by the carrier, the consignee must take delivery of goods within two days after the arrival of goods at the destination.
- The carrier will charge DEMURRAGE for all goods not taken delivery within 10 days from the date of arrival since the carrier charges only the cost of transporting at the time of booking and since storage space is highly expensive.
- The carrier is not responsible for Damages occurring to the goods stored in our godown beyond 10 days.
- Any claims arising on this consignment note must be preferred within one month from the date of booking.
- The company shall always reserve its right to reweigh and recalculate the freight charges at any stage.
- The consignor is responsible to furnish all necessary forms, documents, declarations, etc., required under the laws in force from time to time, and the company is not responsible in the event of the goods being detained, seized, or confiscated by government authorities for want of deficiencies in the said documents or for any other reasons.
- Any disputes arising out of this consignment note, irrespective of the nature of the dispute, shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts/forum of Alleppey only.
- The consignor should carefully go through the above terms and conditions before booking the consignments. In case of disagreement, the consignor should notify the carrier at least within two hours from the time of booking. In the absence of such notice, the carrier assumes that the consignor accepted the above terms and conditions.
- Proof of delivery will not be available after 90 days from the date of delivery.
